Getting ready for Easter

We all did Easter projects this week....Wade dyed eggs with Bronson, Emory and Brennyn and then had an egg hunt with them and Alliya and I had our friends Tracie and her daughters Sophie and Taylor over to dye eggs. As you can see, some of the eggs were "damaged" in the process, but the kids had fun! I followed it up by making picture frames to put the kids cute photos in for Easter.

Emory wanted to make hers better by using crayons...she also made a watermelon egg.

Plastic was easier for her...all she wanted to do is break the eggs, and ended up spilling two cups of egg dye.

Bed Time

Alliya always sings herself to sleep. Tonight I went to check on her and she was reading her book in the dark and then started singing twinkle twinkle (one of her all time favorites). When she saw me she stopped and asked for a banana. I asked if she would read the book and sing her song first (before having her banana)....here she is doing what she does almost every night.

One of Alliya's favorite things to do is to sing. Here she is at Grandma Gayla's singing Jesus Loves Me....she gets a little distracted.

We love our neighborhood!

So I am a little late in posting this...it actually happened last weekend. We had beautiful weather and our neighbors in the cul de sac decided last minute to have a early spring cook out. We brought some food out, visited and let all of the kids play. It is so great having so many kids around and I love the fact that everyone is always up for coming out to play and visit. We love our neighbors!

I am not sure what Alliya is doing, but she thought she was pretty funny.

Am I the only one who didn't know what Jersey Shore on MTV was?

We were invited to go to a birthday party and the theme was "Jersey Shore". I actually had to google jersey shore to find out what it was. It was a party for one of our friends/girl that works for Wade and we had a really good time. I don't think either of us had ever been to pioneer square and it was fun to see what all the hype is about, but also reminded us how old we are...

It was Wade's turn to plan valentine's day this year and he did a great job planning all of the touristy activities that you don't typically do when you live here. We started with brunch at the Space Needle, then he took me to the Seattle art museum (since I love to paint) and we ended with a nice cozy dinner in Bellevue.

Brennyn's Birthday

We were able to have all of the kids together for Brennyn's birthday. We took the kids sledding on Saturday and had a family party on Sunday. It was a great time having pizza and cake with all of the cousins, aunts, uncles and Grandma and Don. Thanks to everyone, we had a great time.

Skiing in Big Sky...chasing the snow

Wade had a conference in Big Sky MT and we were able to make a fun weekend of skiing in great weather. We had 3 days of nothing but sun and snow...followed up by sitting in the hot tub to ease our aching muscles. What a great weekend!

These are the best boot ever...Wade thinks I should have bought them, but I don't know if my wardrobe could handle them.

If the snow won't come to us....we will go to the snow!

Washington didn't have much snow this year, but fortunately we were able to take advantage of the snow in Utah in February. We took all of the kids sledding with our good friends Elizabeth and Matt in Park City. They were also nice enough to hook us up with skiing a couple of weeks later. Thanks guys, we had a great time!

This was my first time skiing since I was 11. I already like it so much better than snow boarding and can't wait to do it again!

Wade and the girls. Trying to find a sled big enough for all of them wasn't easy. They all had a great time sledding and playing in the snow.

I was worried that Alliya wouldn't like going fast down the hill, but after we went down once it was all she wanted to do. She is still talking about going back to go sledding.

Brennyn refused to put on her snow pants and wasn't sure about the sledding at first. After a few times down with dad she had a great time.

Me and my best friend from high school Elizabeth. It is so nice to be able to visit with her and her husband Matt when we are in Utah.

Us and the kids...a long day of playing in the snow and the kids were exhausted. We ended the day at the local pizza place. The kids passed out in the car on the way home.
